This Saturday, October 11, 2025, Sopot will become a place for discussions about harmony, health, and sustainable living. The Hotel Rezydent will host the First Scientific Conference “Man, Medicine, Harmony – A Shared Journey. Mens sana in corpore sano , organized by the Gdynia Maritime University, Bioneuromed from Gdańsk, and the Academia Europa Nostra association. The event is held under the patronage of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Province, the Mayor of Sopot, the Rector of the Gdynia Maritime University, and the Pomorskie Tourist Board.

The conference is devoted to health, well-being, and the idea of living in a slow rhythm. Experts will discuss how modern lifestyles affect our minds and bodies, as well as how we can regain balance in a world full of stimuli and rush. Speakers will include doctors, neurologists, psychiatrists, as well as specialists in sports, recreation, tourism, and nutrition. The meeting is open and interdisciplinary in nature, combining science with everyday experience.

There will also be practical elements. Participants will learn about modern methods of supporting health, including biofeedback, and take part in workshops led by doctors and trainers.

“We want NeuroDays to be a place where science meets everyday life. Slow tourism is not a fad, it is a way of thinking about people, their needs, and their relationship with nature,” emphasize the organizers.

Guests will include representatives of local governments, schools, psychological and pedagogical counseling centers, and health organizations. It is a good opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about new, pioneering solutions in the field of health and prevention. It is no coincidence that the conference is being held in Sopot, a city that has been promoting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle for years and serves as a health resort. The sea climate, nature, and peaceful surroundings create the perfect backdrop for discussions about the harmony of body and mind.

The experts involved in the NeuroDays project say that this is just the beginning.

In the future, they will share their knowledge and experience with people who want to live healthier and fuller lives, supporting local initiatives and educational activities.

The Pomorskie Tourist Board, together with its partners, joined the Canal+ project and prepared three unique episodes of the series “Polska z góry NAJ” (Poland from above). Each episode presents three attractions of the pomorskie Province in unique drone shots. The aim of the production is to encourage Canal+ viewers to discover the region and visit Pomorskie.

The premiere of the first episode took place on October 6 on Planete+. The program can also be viewed on Canal+ Online, and reruns are available on the Planete+ channel.

In December, the series will also be broadcast on Canal+ 360, reaching an even wider audience.

The series “Polska z góry NAJ” is a continuation of Canal+’s popular travel format, which presents the most picturesque corners of the country. Thanks to the cooperation with PROT, this time Pomorskie, a region full of history, nature, and inspiring tourist attractions, takes a special place.

During the Baltic Tourism Forum 2025 in Gdańsk, the BASCIL project had the opportunity to make its presence felt through the participation of local producers. The aim of their presence was to present the regional culinary offer of Pomorskie and to show how local producers can support the development of culinary tourism in the region.

In the lobby area, Forum participants could visit the stands of producers involved in the BASCIL project and try their products. A film promoting the Pomorskie Taste – a trail connecting thirteen local producers who have developed new culinary tourism services as part of the project – was also presented. The trail allows tourists to discover Pomorskie through its flavors, traditions, and local products, while supporting cooperation between producers and the tourism industry.

During the BFT, the following companies presented their offerings:

  • Chwastowe Pole – natural cosmetics and herbs,
  • WiAnn – artisanal cold cuts,
  • Statkiewiczówka – cow’s milk cheeses from Swołowo.

The tastings prepared by the producers were very popular among the Forum participants. Guests could try local specialties and take home products that show how the region’s culinary heritage can become an attractive element of the region’s tourist offer.

The BASCIL project, funded by the European Union under the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Program, supports the development of culinary tourism services in rural areas and increases the competitiveness of local producers by diversifying their activities and including their products in the tourist offer.

On October 1–2, 2025, Gdańsk will become the tourism capital of the Baltic Sea region. The European Solidarity Center will host the 17th edition of the Baltic Sea Tourism Forum (BSTF) – a prestigious event that has been bringing together the industry, administration, and experts from all over Europe since 2008. This is the third time that Poland has hosted the Forum, and its importance is growing every year.

This year, the event will bring together 200 participants from 16 countries, more than half of whom will be from abroad. Guests will come from Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Norway, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Poland, among others. The scale of participation confirms that the Forum is one of the most important platforms for the exchange of experiences for tourism in the Baltic region.

Regeneration as a new paradigm

The central theme of BSTF 2025 will be regenerative tourism – an approach that goes beyond the traditional understanding of sustainability. Experts emphasize that it is not only about minimizing damage, but also about actively restoring ecological and social balance in destinations. “Tourism today faces a historic challenge: on the one hand, it must address the effects of climate change, and on the other, it must harness the potential of new technologies. That is why the conversation about regenerative and data-driven tourism is so important today. The competitiveness of the industry, the condition of our destinations, and the future experiences of tourists depend on how we use these two pillars,” notes Marta Chełkowska, president of PROT.

The topic of regeneration is not new to the Pomorskie Tourist Board. PROT is implementing, among other things, the ReTour project, which aims to develop and test new regenerative tourism solutions in the Baltic Sea region. Thanks to such initiatives, the Forum in Gdańsk will not only be an academic debate, but a place where specific tools and good practices that can be immediately implemented in the industry are presented.

Another important project is RegenT, which acts as a regenerative tourism platform that supports public authorities, tourism organizations, and NGOs by offering training and policy recommendations for the renewal and sustainable development of tourism in the Baltic Sea region. It consolidates the results of seven EU projects, creating a space for knowledge exchange and joint strategies for partners from the Baltic countries.

Data, digitization, and the circular economy

The second pillar of the Forum will be tourism based on data and digital innovation. Discussions will focus on, among other things, the use of big data and artificial intelligence to forecast tourist traffic, systems for monitoring the impact of tourism on the environment, and smart tools for managing tourist flows.

These issues perfectly complement PROT’s work on projects related to climate transformation and the circular economy, such as CliNeDest – Climate Neutral Destinations, which develops tools to support entrepreneurs in reducing CO₂ emissions, and GOZilla, which aims to implement circular economy practices in various sectors, including tourism.

The role of PROT – regional leader and coordinator of the Baltic Strategy

Since 2022, the Pomorskie Tourist Board has been acting as the Policy Area Tourism Coordinator in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). This means that PROT is responsible for integrating tourism activities across the region, initiating international projects, and setting the direction for cooperation. As Magda Leszczyna-Rzucidło, Director of International Cooperation at PROT, emphasizes, “it is extremely important for PROT to be able to organize the Forum in this role, because it provides a unique opportunity not only to host experts from all over Europe, but also to have a real impact on the shape of tourism policy in the region. It is a huge responsibility, but also a source of satisfaction that Pomorskie is becoming a place where new standards for European tourism are set.”

A forum with tradition and a future

For 17 years, the Baltic Sea Tourism Forum has served as a meeting place for decision-makers, business leaders, scientists, and social organizations. In 2025, in Gdańsk, it will become a space where issues of regeneration, digitization, and closed-loop economy will be discussed in a single context—as a condition for building a resilient, innovative, and responsible tourism industry in the Baltic region.

We would like to inform you that the public task entitled “Baltic Tourism Forum 2025 – an international forum for cooperation on regenerative tourism and digital innovation” has been co-financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, in accordance with agreement no. 2025/0055/0106/UDOT/DT/BP/IC.

The Pomorskie region has reason to be proud – two local tourism products have received the Polish Tourist Organization Certificate for the Best Tourism Product 2025:

The St. John’s Center in Gdańsk is a place where history meets contemporary culture. The Gothic temple, converted into a modern performance space, delights both architecture and art lovers. Concerts, exhibitions, and cultural events are held here, attracting artists and audiences from around the world. It is a unique opportunity to experience “culture within Gothic walls” and feel the unique atmosphere of this place.

Swołowo – the capital of the Checkered Land is one of the best-preserved oval-shaped villages in Poland. Its historic buildings and medieval layout delight everyone who values authenticity and tradition. Walking around Swołowo, you can feel the spirit of the old days and see how history harmoniously coexists with the everyday life of the residents.

In addition, St. Dominic’s Fair in Gdańsk was recognized and was among the top three in the “competition” for the Golden Certificate, confirming its unique position on the map of the greatest attractions in Poland.

Winning these awards is not only prestigious for the region, but also a real opportunity for further development of tourism in Pomorskie. The winners can count on a wide-ranging promotional campaign, and all residents and visitors can look forward to even more inspiring events and attractions.

Pomorskie constantly proves that it is a place full of passion, tradition, and modern ideas. It is worth visiting to see this for yourself!

On September 9–11, 2025, the 5th meeting of the Baltic Biking UPGRADE (BBU) project partners, coordinated by the Pomorskie Tourist Board, took place in Klaipėda, Lithuania. The event brought together representatives of all institutions involved in the project, and its purpose was to assess the progress of activities, exchange experiences, and discuss further steps to develop cycling tourism around the Baltic Sea.

During the meeting, the partners discussed the implementation of further activities within the framework of Work Packages, including:

  • the preparation and implementation of national and regional standards and certification for cyclist-friendly services,
  • training programs for SMEs,
  • pilot projects in Denmark and Lithuania,
  • the development of new cross-border offers along the EuroVelo 10 route,
  • promotional activities (including updating the eurovelo10.com website and online campaigns).

The highlight of the meeting in Klaipėda was a roundtable workshop held on September 11, 2025, attended by representatives of SMEs, transport operators, and local and regional stakeholders. Its aim was to exchange experiences and develop ideas for better integration of transport and tourism services in the context of the development of cycling tourism. The plenary and table sessions were attended by representatives of Association Klaipeda Region, European Cyclist Federation, Baltic Bike Travel, TT-Line, FlixBus, Danish Cycling Tourism, PROT, Visit Lolland Falster, Blekinge Region, ZROT, and representatives of local tourism companies. The presentations highlighted both the potential and the challenges facing cycle tourism in the region, from seasonality and infrastructure limitations, through safety and cooperation issues, to the need for better connections between ferry, bus, and bicycle services.

Four thematic discussion tables addressed the following topics:

  • Integration of ferry transport – including the need for better connections between terminals and bicycle routes and dialogue between operators.
  • Buses as the “last-mile hero” – the need to invest in bicycle trailers and promote public transport as a complement to bicycle transport.
  • Cooperation between SMEs and hassle-free travel – the importance of joint promotion and the creation of new tourist packages.
  • Joint business models – opportunities for market development, the need to combine promotional budgets, and the development of cross-border products, e.g., new bicycle routes (Copenhagen–Gdańsk–Świnoujście–Rostock).

The discussion was also supplemented by conclusions from the European Cyclists’ Federation #CyclistsLoveTrains report, pointing to the growing importance of railways in the development of cycling tourism in Europe. The workshop in Klaipėda resulted in, among other things:

  • a list of challenges and recommendations for the integration of transport and cycling tourism,
  • ideas for international cycling packages and promotional activities,
  • proposals for pilot solutions (e.g., bike parades or joint packages for SMEs),
  • the involvement of transport operators in the process of creating new services,
  • contribution to the development of a transport visibility strategy on the eurovelo10.com website.

During the workshop, experiences and challenges in the field of cycling tourism were presented by, among others, the Klaipeda Region Association and TT-Line. The materials and summaries of the discussions will be used in further work on the development of the offer and promotion of cycling routes around the Baltic Sea.

September 27 is a special date for the tourism industry and all travel enthusiasts. Today we celebrate World Tourism Day, which this year is themed “Tourism and the Sustainable Transition.” It is a great opportunity to look at travel from a new perspective—one that is responsible and respectful of the world around us.

World Tourism Day – for the love of travel

World Tourism Day is an annual celebration that inspires people to explore the world and encourages them to reflect on the impact of tourism on culture, the economy, and the environment. In 2025, Malaysia is the official host of the event, and the theme is “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.” Today, the tourism industry around the world is focused on implementing innovative, environmentally friendly solutions and promoting responsible practices to protect our shared heritage.

Pomorskie celebrates tourism locally

In the Pomorskie region, the celebrations do not end on September 27! On October 10, the local tourism industry will meet to celebrate and discuss the future of tourism in the Pomorskie Province. This is a unique opportunity to share experiences, inspire new activities, and work together to build the brand of Pomorskie as a friendly, modern, and sustainable place.

ENERGA from the Orlen Group – strategic partner of the pomorskie celebrations of World Tourism Day.

This would not be possible without the involvement of our strategic partner – ENERGA from the Orlen Group. From February 28 to March 3, 2025, Pomorskie hosted Czech journalist Eva Kadlec Dědochová, representing the prestigious Lock in Suite magazine. The visit was part of a study trip organized by the Pomorskie Tourist Board (PROT) in cooperation with the Foreign Center of the Polish Tourist Organization in Prague, the Gdańsk Tourist Organization, and the Sopot Tourist Organization.

The preparation and implementation of the program was also supported by the partners of the Pomorskie Prestige project, presenting the highest level of regional hospitality and premium offers.

During her several-day stay, the journalist visited Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia, learning about both the rich cultural heritage of the Tri-City and its contemporary, modern tourist offer. In Gdańsk, Eva Kadlec Dědochová visited, among others, the Amber Museum and Artus Court – gems in the collection of the Gdańsk Museum. She also took a walk along the seaside Orłowo and visited Sopot, where she had the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the resort and its unique hotel and gastronomic offer.

The Pomorskie Tourist Board, together with its partners, is consistently developing international cooperation and promoting the region as a destination full of inspiration, history, modernity, and excellent quality tourist services.

Summer in Pomorskie was once again filled with the sounds of good energy and holiday hits. In June, the crew of “Eska on the Beach,” one of Eska TV’s most recognizable holiday productions, visited Pomorskie to film the next episodes of their summer series. The study visit took place in cooperation with the Pomorskie Tourist Board (PROT), which supported the recording process, provided information about the region’s attractions, and helped organize local visits.

Summer in Pomorskie was once again filled with the sounds of good energy and holiday hits. The study visit took place in cooperation with the Pomorskie Tourist Board (PROT), which supported the recording process, provided information about the region’s attractions, and helped organize local visits.

The program, broadcast at the end of August, became an excellent opportunity to widely promote Pomorskie – both on television and on social media, which was presented as a diverse region, full of positive energy, with a rich offer for tourists seeking both relaxation and active recreation.

The “Eska on the Beach” team began their tour of the Baltic Sea at the end of June. Traveling from west to east, they visited the most interesting seaside towns to show what is unique about each region. In Pomorskie, the ESKA camera visited, among others, Ustka, Łeba, Gdańsk-Stogi, and Krynica Morska.

In Krynica Morska, the program team met with the Drapolicz Association, which has been involved in nature conservation for years and promotes bird watching in the Vistula Spit area. Participants had the opportunity to take part in bird counting and learn the secrets of field ornithology – an experience that perfectly shows that Pomorskie is not only about beaches and sunbathing, but also about extraordinary nature and environmental education at the highest level.

The recordings in Pomorskie took place in a summer atmosphere – with conversations with tourists, presentations of local attractions, water sports, and culinary flavors of the region. The episodes, full of sunshine, music, and fun, were released in the last week of August, turning the TV screen into a colorful postcard from the Baltic Sea.

Watch the episodes of Eska on the Beach – Pomorskie (16-22):

The cooperation between the Pomorskie Tourist Board and the editorial team of Eska TV is another example of effective activities promoting the region in modern media. Thanks to the organizational and substantive support of PROT, the production was able to create attractive material presenting Pomorskie from many perspectives – from urban beaches and ports to nature reserves and ecological initiatives.

As emphasized by PROT representatives, cooperation with nationwide media is one of the most effective forms of promoting the region, allowing it to reach new audiences, especially young people for whom Eska is a natural source of information about trends, music, and ways to spend free time.

The broadcast of the episodes of “Eska on the Beach” was not only a summary of the summer season, but also an invitation to visit Pomorskie outside the main season. In the material, viewers could see that the region offers many opportunities – from outdoor activities and nature tourism to culture and local flavors.

PROT consistently builds the image of Pomorskie as a year-round destination – open, diverse, and inspiring. Joint projects with the media and internet creators are an important part of this strategy, allowing the region to be shown from an authentic, modern, and emotional perspective.

The Pomorskie Tourist Board would like to thank the editors of Eska TV for their fruitful cooperation and professional presentation of Pomorskie in the rhythm of summer. We believe that our joint activities will contribute to the further development of tourism in the region and encourage more people to discover the charms of Pomorskie – a place where summer never ends.

This year’s Italian influencer campaign, “Elementi di Polonia,” organized by PROT in cooperation with the Polish Tourist Organization’s Foreign Center in Rome, focused on the four elements, with Pomorskie represented by the element of WATER. The organizers were guided by the spirit of slow tourism, experiencing nature, forests, water, and, above all, limiting the use of social media. Therefore, influencers had limited access to the Internet and their phones, and they reported on some of their experiences after the event, without any contact with the world of technology, even for a short time.

The campaign was launched on the Italian market in the second half of April and culminated in a visit by two Italian influencers, Fiammetta Gatto and Alessandro Tofani (IG profile: @fiammettaphotos) on June 1-6, 2025, to Pomorskie. The guests began and ended their visit in Gdańsk, traveling through the northern, southern, and eastern parts of the Pomorskie region. They visited a variety of places: the Hel Peninsula with Chałupy and Kuźnica, where they enjoyed water sports; Pałac pod Bocianim Gniazdem (Stork’s Nest Palace) in Runowo, where they had the opportunity to explore the area on horseback; Bory Tucholskie with the Natural History Museum of the Bory Tucholskie National Park and the Animal Show Farm in Chociński Młyn; Wdzydze Kiszewskie with the Teodora and Izydor Gulgowski Museum and Ethnographic Park, admiring the landscape of the area and the Kashubian lakes from the observation tower. In addition, they spent a day in Żuławy, taking a cruise with Morski Safari to observe seals and a cruise on the Mała Pętla Żuławy (Small Żuławy Loop). As part of the planned sports activities, an important part of the program was also a canoeing trip down the Brda River and a bicycle trip through the Vistula Spit along the R10 route. An integral part of the visit was also the local cuisine presented by the partners of Pomorskie Prestige.

The impressive results of the campaign can be found in the report, in which the analytical data is the result of accurate calculations, including sponsored posts, both organic and paid, as well as targeted advertisements aimed at increasing brand recognition:
